How to get the coupons you need

I recently have been in desperate need of stackable OFF bug spray coupons for Mr G since he goes through a bottle a week at work, but have been unable to get enough. SO... I appealed to the "couponing community" on Facebook. There are several groups, but the one I frequent the most is Frugal Edmonton Mama . She is based in this area and has a billion followers (ok, maybe not a billion). Anyways, I appealed to her followers on Facebook and within 30 seconds had replies to make some trades.

As a result of these trades (I traded Enfamil and huggies), I was able to get Mr G. 6 bottles of Deep Woods off for *FREE*!!!

Since this is such a valuable tool I would like to start some more regular trades. If you are interested in making some trades, please post in the comments and we'll see how well this goes. I will start a new tab for trades up by printables if we have the demand.

What coupons are you seeking? Are you overwhelmed with one certain coupon (I am, I have a StacK of Scrubbing bubbles/Fantastic).

Let the trades begin!

Want to know what $10.00 at Shoppers buys you?

Well... when you hit the clearance section with your coupons, you walk away very happy!
Here's my breakdown:

- 1 pkg Pampers Easy Ups @ $5.50, used brandsaver insert coupon save $3.00 =$2.50

- 3 FULL SIZED Gillete hair and body wash @ $1.60 ea, used brandsaver insert coupon save $5.00 WUB 3 = MADE $0.20 (the cashier k'd the overage)

- 2 Two pack Dove deodorant @ $1.85 ea. Used tearpad Save $2.00 WUB 2 Dove products (found at shoppers by the Dove bar soap) = $1.70 (that is $0.43/deodorant!!)

- 3 Southern butter pecan coffee creamer (smaller size) @ $2.00 ea (not sure why these were clearanced?!) No coupon, but if I dont get coffee in the am with creamer, well, let's just say it's ugly... = $6.00 (still saved $3.75)

RETAIL COST OF THIS (plus taxes) would have been $ 64.50!!!!!!!

I was so happy, and really I lucked out! They were filling the clearance shelves as we were there. I didnt even have my coupon binder, but fortunately I had just picked up a couple brandsaver inserts from my Mother in Law (THANKS MA!!) soI was able to use those. We're going back tomorrow because there was a TON of clearance Aveeno stuff (which is odd) so I'm going back to get a few free bars of aveeno soap and face wash using THIS . The soaps were only !$1.15 each, so my overage (if I get it again) will cover the remainder of the face wash!!

Have you spotted any CRAZY deals lately? Anything jump at you from a cleance shelf? Please share your deals and tips!

June 4/5 Inserts and Best deals:

This weekend we have 2 inserts coming out in the paper. Saturday in the Journal, you will get your brandsaver and the RedPlum insert (Sunday for the Sun). It would be a great idea to pick up both this weekend to double your coupons, especially since so many of them are stackable!

There are several great deals coming out this weekend:

Safeway:
Degree women's deodorant $1.00 Use THIS to save $0.50

No Frills:
They are continuing their $1, $2, $3 Sale this week (Yess!!) so fet out there and stock up:

Cracker Barrel Cheese (500g) - $3.00
Chapman's Ice Lolly/Chocolate Ice milk bars - $1.00
Dove bar soap - $1.00 **HOT BUY**

Wal-Mart
TBH, I didn't find anything great in the flyer, everything is cheaper somewhere else this weekend (if. Bits and Bites at Wal-Mart on sale for $1.50, but at No Frills they're $1.00). Be sure to price match if you *need* to go to Wal-Mart (suggest PM degree deodorant from Safeway, and pick up a No Frills flyer to do some PM there too).

How to MAKE money and get free stuff using coupons

Sometimes a coupon deal comes along that is just so fabulous that an avid couponer gets positively giddy! For me personally, this happens when stores pay me to take the product home!

Walmart's coupon policy, in part, states that "When coupon value exceeds the price of the item: the excess amount can be given as cash or can be applied toward the basket purchase , at the customer's choice". WOW! Now as an example, say Ziplock bags are on sale for $1.48 per box, and I have a coupon that says 'Save $4.00 WUB 2', that means that for every 2 boxes of Ziplock bags I buy, Walmart will PAY ME $1.04.

With the overage produced, You can purchase your items that are not as "coupon friendly" such a meat and produce. Pretty exciting stuff when you realize how this can work for you!

Now, before you get too excited, please realize that not all stores will do this! Wal-Mart and Giant Tiger will allow you to have/use the overage, Shoppers Drug Mart will occasionally, and some others will mark the coupon down to match the actual price, but you would still get the product free.

This weekend there are some freebies available. Canadian Tire is doing their annual scratch ticket, and you can save $5.00 (or win a BBQ, or save $5.00 at M&M Meats). With that $5.00 you could get free Tide (at $4.47 + something to take you over the $5.00), Bounty Basics 6 pk papertowel (at $4.97 with something small to take you over $5.00).

The biggest bonus is that a lot of the coupons that you can print yourself, (and I'm working on that list for you), can be printed multiple times, thus allowing you to stock up and maximize your savings. Always remember to check your store's clearance sections, you can often times get better-than-best-sale prices, and still use a coupon for extra value.

Today is new flyer day, so as I go through I will post any hot deals I find!

Tomorrow, we cover COUPON STACKING!! That is using multiple coupons for 1 product resulting in near and free items (hello Diapers!)
